Microsoft now forcing you to buy AI

Have you noticed that your Microsoft 365 Family has leapt in price since your last renewal?

Last time you renewed, you were charged £79.99. The cost now, for seemingly the same product is £104.99

Microsoft are being more dishonest than normal. Why...?

Microsoft have created a new tier - you might call it Microsoft 365 Family INCLUDING AI

However, Microsoft have called it Microsoft 365 Family and, because you are currently subscribed to Microsoft 365 Family, that is what they will move you to.

YOU ARE BEING FORCED TO UPGRADE

So, what about Microsoft 365 Family WITHOUT AI? This is now called Microsoft 365 Family Classic

But, Microsoft 365 Family Classic is not an option. How can you change your subscription back to where you were?

Log into your Microsoft account (https://account.microsoft.com) and look for your subscriptions. Click on the option to disable auto-renew. This will evoke the Microsoft Panic sub routine that will offer you Microsoft 365 Family Classic. Note: It will also offer you Microsoft 365 Personal for £85. This is also £25 more than the usual price of £60. I am guessing that the above relates to Microsoft 365 Personal too.

It will use terms like "Buy" and "Cancel"... do not be concerned, click on the Buy option and follow through the instructions - it will also present your payment options. Just follow it through - you will not be buying anything at this point. At the end, you will be told that you will be changing to Microsoft 365 Family Classic at your renewal date.

I don't think that you will be able to go through this process again. It is probably a good idea to start looking at alternatives:

And, as always, Alex, Alex and Gary will be able to answer to answer your questions and guide you on the best approach for your creativity and admin needs...
